Council Hearing on Reentry

Today, the Reentry Network for Returning Citizens took part in the Judiciary Committee’s Hearing on Re-entry Programs and Services for the District’s Returning Citizens, Chaired by Councilmember Mendelsohn. We were very excited for the opportunity to testify before the DC Council and we took full advantage of that opportunity as a number of us testified!!! Also, yesterday, we were invited to The Council for Court Excellence’s presentation of their findings in their report on Unlocking Employment Opportunity for Previously Incarcerated Persons in DC. Our own James LeBlanc was one of the speakers and he was joined there by our Chairman Courtney Stewart and other members of the RNRC. Lets keep up the good work!!!
